		| Course description | The thought of Augustine in the context of the Christian and educational culture of his day and the decline of the Roman Empire in the West. The course will concentrate on the Confessions, the City of God, and On the Trinity, with a brief look at On Christian Teaching (De Doctrina Christiana) and some of Augustine's sermons. |
