Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
This course systematically develops the ability to recognise the register, meaning, and cultural import of a German text, and to render that text appropriately in English. The report is written in German and is a summary of a text on a journalistic or cultural topic.

Assessment Information
A practice examination takes place at the end of each semester. Formal assessment of German Language Paper 1 will be at the May examination only
