Course description The course examines aspects of the development of the Scandinavian novel from the mid 19th century to the present day. Novels by Andersen, Almqvist, Lagerlvf, Hamsun and other writers are studied. A variety of theoretical issues and critical approaches relevant to the study of the novel as a literary form are covered.
