| Course description |
The dissertation course is designed to further develop the student&©s scientific skills and ability to utilise scientific theory. This course will consist of three elements, a dissertation thesis, a reflective account of their learning during the dissertation course and a presentation of their thesis.
The dissertation project is designed to further develop the student&©s understanding of the processes and planning involved in undertaking research and to develop their scientific written communication skills. The reflective element provides students with the opportunity to develop their skills as reflective scientists, whilst the presentation element allows for the oral communication of their findings.
Students will be given the option of undertaking either a research project involving data collection or a desk-based study.
