Course description To provide an understanding of the processes which create glacial landscapes and to show how this can contribute to the understanding of the global environment. In terms of transferable skills, students will be encouraged to read widely, think innovatively, write concisely, present oral critiques clearly and solve a field problem.

Pre-requisites It is RECOMMENDED that students have passed Environmental Sensitivity and Change (GEGR08001) AND Geomorphology (GEGR08002)

Glaciological theory; how to link theory with landforms; how best to bridge the classroom/fieldwork divide; how to think critically, and how best to use specific transferable skills (reading, seminar presentation, group working, project presentation).
