Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
a. Critically analyse the theoretical knowledge of health informatics applied to workplace environments
b. Apply health informatics knowledge and understanding to information collection and use in real world health and social care systems
c. Demonstrate understanding of the application of health informatics at an organisational level
d. Examine the business change process in relation to the introduction of informatics in a healthcare setting
e. Critically assess the information needs of a healthcare organisation
f. Understand the planning and implementation of health informatics within a wider organisational context
Assessment Information
Course assessments relate to the learning outcomes and are largely based on experiential learning. Formative and summative work will also be included and be approved by the
Programme Committee, on the recommendation of the Course Convenor. ePortfolio content and assessments may incorporate one or more of the following:
* Essay style analysis or commentary
* Scenario analysis
* Critical/Significant incident analysis
* Reflective practice accounts
* Individual presentations
* Multiple Choice Questions
* Other relevant assessments

This course will also be supported using RCSEd's VLE which contains an ePortfolio for students to upload documentary evidence for mentor review.
