The purpose of the thesis is to enable the candidate to explore and apply a methodology of enquiry in an area of Medical Education. Whilst the topic should be unique, it need not have the level of originality required for a Doctorate. The emphasis should be on the methodology rather than the academic content. | Those achieving an appropriate standard in all coursework may proceed to the MSc. The student will agree the topic with the Programme Director, and should be recognisable as an area of Medical Education, i.e. about teaching, learning, assessment, evaluation, educational policy or management. |
