Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
To develop an understanding of structural dynamics of complex systems subject to arbitrary loading.
To develop an understanding of explicit and implicit time stepping schemes, including their stability and accuracy.
To develop an understanding of earthquake resistant structural design principles based on response spectra.
To develop an understanding of eigenvalue solution algorithms.
To be able to undertake an analysis of a dynamic structural system and appreciate the key concepts related to earthquake resistant structural design.
