Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course students will be able to:
-Utilise key theories in sociology to examine the socio-cultural context of contemporary public health
-Critically engage with debates about risk and uncertainty in relation to health
-Analyse the impact of discourses of health on everyday life and behaviour
-Apply sociological understandings to an analysis of key public health concerns and interventions |
