Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed: New Testament 2 (BIST08005) OR Systematic Theology 2Bh: Dogmatic Theology (THET08001) OR God in Philosophy: Plato to Hume (THET08010) OR Religion 2A: Making Sense of Religion: Phenomenological, Historical and Cultural Approaches to the Study of Religion (REST08008) OR Religion 2B: Religion and Society: Social Scientific Approaches to the Study of Religions (REST08007) AND New Testament 2 (BIST08005) OR Systematic Theology 2Bh: Dogmatic Theology (THET08001) OR God in Philosophy: Plato to Hume (THET08010) OR Religion 2A: Making Sense of Religion: Phenomenological, Historical and Cultural Approaches to the Study of Religion (REST08008) OR Religion 2B: Religion and Society: Social Scientific Approaches to the Study of Religions (REST08007)

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, students will have acquired:
- Transferable skills in exegeting the text of New Testament epistles.
- Knowledge of the specific critical issues that surround 1 and 2 Thessalonians.
- Awareness of major text critical problems.
