| Course description |
All healthcare professionals are now expected to have a sophisticated understanding of how research methods and research findings can be exploited in the delivery, development and evaluation of services for the benefit of patients and clients. A wide range of approaches to research including various designs and methods are available to those wishing to research nursing and healthcare. This course enables the student to critically appraise the use of one design/method in depth so that a wider understanding of the conduct of research in the healthcare setting can be gained. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Assessment Information
The student will be required to submit a learning contract and evidence that the contract has been fulfilled. These should be contained in a report of 4,000 - 5,000 words.
Assessments will be marked according to School/College policy and made available for moderation by the External Examiner.
