Course description |
Students will be invited to explore some of the key concepts in the philosophy of law and in political philosophy. We will begin with an examination of the concept of a legal system and then follow some connected ideas - such as rights, obligations, the relation of law and morality, the nature of contracts - as determined by the interests of the class. |

Visiting students should have at least 3 Philosophy courses at grade B or above (or be predicted to obtain this). We will only consider University/College level courses. |

Assessment Information
Assessment will be by 2-hour examination in the June diet. Senior Honours students may opt to write a long essay (approximately 5000 words) in lieu of the final exam.
