Course description The aim of this course is to enable students to consolidate and develop learning introduced on the 10-credit seminar courses Current Debates in Therapeutic Studies 1, Current Debates in Therapeutic Studies 2, Contemporary Themes in Therapeutic Practices 1, and Contemporary Themes in Therapeutic Practices 2 through supervised reading.

Pre-requisites Co-requisites It is RECOMMENDED that students also take Current Debates in Therapeutic Studies 1 (CNST11029) OR Current Debates in Therapeutic Studies 2 (CNST11030) OR Contemporary Themes in Therapeutic Practices 1 (CNST11031) OR Contemporary Themes in Therapeutic Practices 2 (CNST11032)

 enhanced independent learning skills
- theoretical understanding of themes and/or practice in counseling studies
- critically assess and synthesise research and scholarship on specific themes in counselling studies
- identify and conceptualise debates in counselling studies
- formulate questions for theory and practice on specific topics of debate in counselling and psychotherapy

Assessment Information
One 2,500 word essay on a topic agreed with the course organiser building directly on the essay submitted for the accompanying 10-credit course.
