An introduction to the study of literature, in particular questions of genre, form, and interpretation, with texts drawn from a variety of historical periods and literary modes. |

2 course essays (up to 2000 words); plus one additional essay (2,000 words) for Semester 1 Visiting Students only; tutorial assessment. Essays 30% each; tutorial assessment 10%. |
