Course descriptionIndicative course content
To comprehensively introduce the language and specialist study of contemporary Sculpture. To apply research and making skills, knowledge of processes and techniques relevant to a range of materials. To enable appropriate decision making, selection and manipulation of individually developed ideas.

Aims of course
1 To interpret set briefs and generate individual ideas in making Sculpture.
2 To appropriately select and use safely a broad range of equipment, materials, processes and environments.
3 To demonstrate investigation and enquiry in the making and presentation of sculptural work.

Mode of delivery
Studio, workshop, external projects; demonstrations; group and individual critiques, exhibitions.

Pre-requisites Co-requisites Students MUST also take: Research, Drawing and Visual Thinking 2 (Sculpture) (ARTX08017) AND Professional Practice 2 (Sculpture) (ARTX08018) AND Art 2: Postmodernism and After (ARTX08025) AND Contemporary Art Practice (AREA08001)
