Course descriptionThis course is essentially a series of discussions based on the realities of health care. It is concerned with the nature of ethical debate and its place within health care practice and planning.

At the end of the course students will be able to:
Explain the main approaches to ethical debate.
Demonstrate an understanding of moral debate in health care.
Critically discuss ethical issues encountered in health care in the context of moral philosophy.
Debate ethical issues of relevance to nursing and health care professionals.
