Further exploration of the presentation and documentation of studio practice.

Aims of course
1 To gain an increased understanding of current methods of display and installation
2 Explore a range of appropriate methods of articulation of studio practice through presentation and documentation.
3 To integrate and embed an understanding of effective methods of display within individual practice.

Mode of delivery
Studio based, Group crit, Exhibition, Tutorials.
Entry Requirements (not applicable to Visiting Students)
Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed: ( Painting 2 (ARTX08019) AND Research Drawing 2 (Painting) (ARTX08020) AND Professional Practice 2 (Painting) (ARTX08021) AND Art 2: Postmodernism and After (ARTX08025))
Co-requisites Students MUST also take: Painting 3 (ARTX09040) AND Professional Practice 3 (Painting) (ARTX09042) AND Art 3: Visual Research (ARTX09046)
Prohibited Combinations Other requirements or appropriate SCQF level 8 qualification or equivalent

This course is only available to ECA students on degree programmes belonging to the School of Art.
Additional Costs ECA students are required to pay for the cost of materials used throughout their programme of study.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Demonstrate the ability to research and plan the exhibition and installation of work in different contexts both as an individual practitioner and as part of a group.
2. Critically select and present appropriate documention of work in a clear and professional manner.
3. Identify and establish a self initiated and professional approach to the subject area, meeting deadlines and engaging in related activities.
