Course description | This course is designed to update knowledge on current clinical endodontic practice. It will help students to understand the relevance of endodontics in saving natural permanent teeth and it will give an opportunity to discuss the indications and contraindications for endodontic treatment.
It aims to improve understanding about how the access cavity can influence success or failure in preparation of the root canal system. It will give an insight into current instruments and instrumentation techniques, the presently available means of filling the root canal system and the importance of a sound coronal seal.
It will also review the reasons why endodontic treatment can fail and to encourage a problem solving approach which will enhance successful outcomes.
