Course descriptionIndicative course content
This course introduces students to a range of working methods and professional practices within art disciplines to underpin their studio practice.

Aims of course
1 To develop initiative, confidence, critical abilities and communication skills.
2 To enable students to begin to position their personal direction within art practice.
3 To foster a professional and reflective approach to the execution and presentation of their work.

Mode of delivery
Studio Based, Site Visit, Technical Exercises, Group Crit, Project, Installation, Guest Speakers.
Entry Requirements (not applicable to Visiting Students)
Pre-requisites Co-requisites Students MUST also take: Art 1: Visual Culture (ARTX07006) AND Studio 1 (Art) (ARTX07003) AND Research 1 (Art) (ARTX07004)
Prohibited Combinations Other requirements This course is only available to ECA students on degree programmes belonging to the School of Art.
