SummaryThis course is only available to students in the School of Design

In this course students will define, collect and analyse a personally selected and justified area of research that is creatively informed, innovative and critically aware. Students will produce a cohesive and mature body of research work that underpins studio practice and consolidates their prior meaning
Course description Introduce a critical relationship to core methodologies of artistic research.

Research and development of ideas for final degree assessment.
Entry Requirements (not applicable to Visiting Students)
Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed: ( Art 3: Visual Research (ARTX09046) AND Studio 3 (Photography) (ARTX09069) AND Research 3 (Photography) (ARTX09070) AND Professional Practice 3 (Photography) (ARTX09071))
Co-requisites Students MUST also take: ( Studio 4 (Photography) (ARTX10031) AND Professional Practice 4 (Photography) (ARTX10034) AND Art 4: Research Project (ARTX10017))
Prohibited Combinations Other requirements This course is only available to ECA students on degree programmes belonging to the School of Art.

On completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  3. PLAN: evidence an evolving sense of purpose in the development of their research inquiry.
