Pre-requisites It is RECOMMENDED that students have passed Intermediate Biblical Hebrew (BIST08017) OR Hebrew 2 (BIST08003) AND Reading the Old Testament (BIST08015) OR Old Testament 2 (BIST08006)

Learning Outcomes
1) Familiarity with the main themes of the Former and Latter Prophets in the Hebrew Bible.
2) Familiarity with the terminology of 'prophecy', 'vision' etc.
3) An understanding of how 'biblical prophecy' relates to prophecy in the Ancient Near East.
4) A demonstrable ability to identify key terms and their meanings.
5) Demonstrable good judgement about how to judge the relative importance of items on course bibliographies.
