Learning Outcomes
To consolidate and extend the language skills (written, oral, aural) acquired in Spanish 1A and 1B, with development of accurate communication. To broaden and deepen knowledge of Hispanic Culture in the areas of Medieval, Goldan Age, Modern Latin America, Modern Peninsular Studies across the full range of genres (theatre, poetry, novel, short story and film). To equip students with the linguistic competence to cope with the demands of living and either studying or working in a Spanish-speaking environment.

Special Arrangements For visiting students wishing to enrol on this course: student has to be in Edinburgh for the full year, they can enrol with the explicit permission of the Spanish 2 course organiser and the course must be relevant to their curriculum.
Additional Class Delivery Information An additional weekly language tutorial will be available in semester 1 for those students entering Spanish 2 from Spanish 1A.
