SummaryIndicative course content
Students will further explore techniques in visual communication which may include photography, animation, computer based graphic design or illustration. Students may choose to focus on one or more of these techniques in the development, research and resolution of a project or brief.

Aims of course
1 To increase understanding of the interrelationship between the finished work and the critical thinking and research undertaken as part of its development.
2 To further develop skills and relevant applications in visual communication.
3 To further develop skills in presentation and editing in the display of work made in this module.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Display increasing evidence of originality and the beginnings of a personal language in finished work and the research which supports it.
  2. Show evidence of an increased understanding of theoretical and practical issues through the development of work in visual communication.
  3. Show competence and a considered approach to the selection and presentation of work for assessment at this level.
