Learning Outcomes 
| ? acquire an understanding of the way linguists approach problems in the description of ancient Hebrew; ? exhibit a detailed understanding of classical Hebrew grammar and syntax;
 ? read extra-biblical Hebrew texts, as well as a selection from cognate languages (e.g. Moabite); and
 ? offer an historical perspective on the development of the Hebrew language before the turn of the Era.
