Course description Structured Environments & Information Systems
You will be introduced to the various course learning environments, the course team and your fellow students. Discussion will focus on the broader organisational and business training and development contexts within which e-learning is embedded, with a wider discussion of information systems in general.

Communications
In this section we will explore various communications tools - from chat to videoconferencing to Second Life - and relate them to the purpose and practice of communication within organisations more generally, while assessing their potential as training environments.

Web 2.0 and Social Networking
You will explore and critique a range of 'Web 2.0' digital environments and social networks and their potential for training and development.
