SummaryIn a series of lectures, student presentations and group work the students will study both poetry, drama and epic literature written in Nynorsk over the last 150 years, the main features of the grammar and vocabulary of Nynorsk as well as the historic background to and the inner development of Nynorsk - one of the two official written standards of Norwegian.

Additional Information (Assessment) Students are expected to write an essay of 2000 words on a topic related to what has been covered in the course. This will count for 30% of the final mark. A written exam in May will count for 70% of the final mark.
