| Additional Information (Assessment) |
A detailed impact study of not more than 5000 words (35%). The impact study can draw on either the placement or the 2nd semester project.
Assessment of the placement work by professional project leaders (50%).

| Feedback |
Throughout the academic year students will receive oral and formative feedback in 1-2-1 or small group sessions. These will take place before or after the weekly placement. Post-assessment visit the students will receive written feedback on placement feedback sheet. In Semester 1 this will indicate progress and areas for development.
Students will also receive regular advice and feedback by email if they should wish, in respect to their plans for placement sessions.
During practical workshops students will receive formative feedback from the course organiser, visiting specialists and their peers.
They will receive written feedback on the assessed essay including comments on the accompanying feedback sheet.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Students will have consolidated their ability to work independently in a community context leading a small team of students, developing leadership qualities
- They will have gained further experience in using creative and improvisational skills with individuals and groups
- They will have reflected and assessed the impact of their own practical work in the community
- They will have learned about the role that community arts plays in wider culture and to some extent the historical context of this work
