Notes: Entry into honours requires,(1) an *average* of 50% across both the mandatory Philosophy courses standardly taken in the second year, Mind, Matter and Language (MML) and Knowledge and Reality (K&R) achieved at the first attempt and (2) a minimum of 40% in each course (MML and K&R) achieved at the first attempt; entry into third year normally requires (i) passes in all courses (240 credits) in the first two years,(ii) a mark of 50% or above in Economics 2 at the first attempt, including a mark of 40% or above in specific components of the course (as detailed in the Economics 2 Handbook), and (iii) a pass in Issues in Global Economics.
* For candidates entering the third year of the programme from 2016-2017, entry into third year will require (i) an *average* of 50% across both the mandatory Philosophy courses standardly taken in the second year, Mind, Matter and Language (MML) and Knowledge and Reality (K&R) achieved at the first attempt, (ii) a minimum of 40% in each course (MML and K&R) achieved at the first attempt (iii) passes in all courses (240 credits) in the first two years, (iv) a mark of 50% or above in Economics 2 at the first attempt and (iv) a pass in Statistical Methods for Economics.*
