Notes: Entry into third year normally requires (i) passes in all courses (240 credits) in the first two years,(ii) a mark of 50% or above in Economics 2 at the first attempt, including a mark of 40% or above in specific components of the course (as detailed in the Economics 2 Handbook), and (iii) a pass in Issues in Global Economics.
For candidates entering the third year of the programme from 2016-2017, entry into third year will require (i) passes in all courses (240 credits) in the first two years, (ii) a mark of 50% or above in Economics 2 at the first attempt and (iii) a pass in Statistical Methods for Economics.

Year 3, Academic year 2015/16, Starting month: August
Notes: Students who have (i) passed courses to the required value of 240 credits, (ii) achieved marks of 50% or more at the first attempt in Social Policy Enquiry, (iii) achieved a mark of 50% or above in Economics 2 at the first attempt, including a mark of 40% or above in specific components of the course (as detailed in the Economics 2 Handbook), and (iv) a pass in Issues in Global Economics, are automatically entitled to progress to honours. Students who are planning on spending their Junior Year Abroad must successfully progress to honours before they can proceed on their JYA.
