Entry to Honours normally requires the following:
(1) a pass at 50 or above at the first attempt in Japanese Language 2 or Intermediate Japanese Language;
(2) a pass at 50 or above at the first attempt in Researching Japan;
(3) credits awarded to the value of 240 in the first two years.

Papers that for the purposes of degree classification acquire a weighting of 40 credits are, therefore, listed twice.
