Year 1 Academic year: 2021/22, Starting in: September

Notes:
Courses will run in either Semester 1 OR Semester 2, subject to staffing availability. The range of option courses available may vary. Students complete six courses and the MSc Dissertation over the duration of their degree. Credits are normally split across the two academic years.

Students are not able to take more than three Greek or Latin language courses.

Students will normally audit Skills and Methods in Classics (PGHC11413) in Year 1.

Before selecting your outside courses, please ensure you have met your Personal Tutor.

There are no compulsory courses in this year of this programme.

Ancient History MSc Courses

Select between 0 and 60 credits of the following courses
Notes:
Students must study 60 credits from this list over the duration of their degree.
AND

Optional courses for Classics postgraduate degrees

Select between 0 and 40 credits of the following courses
Notes:
Students must study 0-40 credits from this list over the duration of their degree.

Further to discussion with the Programme Director a student may also choose an option from the suite of courses offered by the School of History, Classics and Archaeology or from other Schools
AND

Classics MSc online courses

Select between 0 and 20 credits of the following courses
Notes:
Students can choose to study 0-20 credits from this list over the duration of their degree.

These courses are taught online and are prioritised for students taking an online degree, limited numbers of places may be available to on-campus students.
