Courses will run in either Semester 1 OR Semester 2, subject to staffing availability.

Students complete two compulsory courses, four specialised option courses and the MSc Dissertation over the duration of the Degree. Courses run in either Semester 1 or Semester 2, the range of specialised courses will vary depending on staffing availability.

There are no compulsory courses in this year of this programme.

Historical Research: Skills & Sources (online)

Select exactly 20 credits of the following courses
Notes:
This compulsory course MUST be taken in either Year 1 or Year 2.
AND

Historical Research: Approaches to History (online)

Select exactly 20 credits of the following courses
Notes:
This compulsory course MUST be taken in either Year 1 or Year 2.
AND

Group B

Select between 0 and 80 credits in this group.

History MSc Online Courses

Select between 0 and 80 credits of the following courses
Notes:
Candidates must take a total of 80 credits of option courses over the four semesters of their part time degree. Normally, a total of 40 credits will be taken in each academic year, but this can be varied with the explicit agreement of the Programme Director.
