A total of 180 credits (the compulsory course worth 20 credits, the Dissertation worth 60 credits, plus 100 credits from the Course Options) must be successfully taken to achieve the MSc.
By the end of year 5 at the latest and prior to progression to the dissertation element of the programme, students must complete the taught element of the programme:
- compulsory course worth 20 credits (Practical Introduction to Data Science, INFD11010). This course may be taken in either year 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 of the programme.
- 100 credits of optional courses from below
These courses are limited to students registered on the programme.
We recommend that students take no more than 60 credits in any one year.
Over the course of your programme, you may take up to 20 credits of courses not listed, in place of the course options. Courses must be delivered online and agreed with the Programme Director, as well as the Course Organiser, prior to course enrolment.
