Students wishing to undertake a non-compulsory Year Abroad in Year 3 should have achieved 'A' grades in the following courses:

- Introduction to Linear Algebra*
- Proofs and Problem Solving*
- Calculus and its Applications*
- Several Variable Calculus and Differential Equations**
- Fundamentals of Pure Mathematics

* or Direct Entry equivalents - Accelerated Proofs and Problem Solving & Accelerated Algebra and Calculus for Direct Entry.
**Direct Entry students are exempt from the requirement to obtain an 'A' grade in Several Variable Calculus and Differential Equations.
