| Summary | This course provides for recording and reflecting on professional practice in the MA Architecture degree's practice period. It is intended as an academic companion to work based learning. The course is introduced through a short series of seminars, followed by active reflection during placement period through a structured journal. |
| Course description |
This course has two components. Induction orients students to academic skills in reflective writing and the role of journals. Reflection comprises active learning, reflection and recording through practice activity.
The course is centred on your experiences of professional practice. Students have the opportunity to study in a practice environment and build up formatively assessed contributions over time to form a substantial piece of reflective work. It is undertaken through an assessed journal with formative assessment.
You will be taught through a short series of online lectures. During the practice period, the course is delivered by distance learning to support your employment commitments. Tutorial support will be provided by dedicated practice support tutors.
