  2. A critical understanding of the interactions and impacts between science and the media.
  3. A critical understanding of the motivations and tensions in media interactions with science.
  4. An ability to effectively critically analyse different types of media writing.
  5. A critical understanding of the roles and responsibilities of professionals in the media.
