SummaryThis course helps students develop their personal and interpersonal skills alongside their understanding of ethics in finance. Students will have opportunities to reflect on their teamwork and communication skills, both of which are highly desired by prospect employers. Students will learn how to apply their communication skills to discuss ethic principles in the context of financial service industry.
Course description This course helps students develop their personal and interpersonal skills alongside their understanding of ethics in finance. Through one-on-one and group coaching sessions, students have opportunities to reflect on their teamwork and communication skills, both of which are highly desired by prospect employers. Students will learn how to apply their communication skills to discuss ethic principles in the context of financial service industry.

Ethics and standards of professional conduct; Effective communications; Effective teamwork.

Student learning experience

This course is delivered through individual and group coaching sessions. Emphasis during these sessions is placed significantly on developing teamwork and communication skills. Additionally, through both individual and collaborative reading assignments, students will explore and apply ethical concepts and professional standards within real-world scenarios. Students are required to attend a series of guest lectures and peer presentations.

Feedback Formative: Students will receive ongoing formative feedback through class discussions and interactions with the teaching team during both group and one-on-one sessions. Additionally, students will deliver a group presentation which serves as an opportunity to receive formative feedback to guide their individual project work.

Summative: Marks and written feedback on individual project report.
