Students who complete this course successfully will be able to demonstrate a in-depth knowledge and understanding of:
General and specialist expertise required in the management of CCT-level key topic areas in the FRCSEd and FRCOphth curricula, including elective, trauma and emergency ophthalmology, generic competencies and the major subspecialty areas of ophthalmology:
- Oculoplastic, orbit and lacrimal surgery
- Cornea and external diseases
- Cataract and refractive surgery
- Glaucoma
- Retina, vitreous and uvea (including oncology)
- Neuro-ophthalmology
- Paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus
- Medical ophthalmology
