SummaryThe MSc by Research dissertation is a piece of independent research, conducted and written over the spring and summer.
Course description The aim of the dissertation is to produce a piece of independent research in the field of German Studies. The dissertation is 15,000 words in length, including footnotes but excluding the bibliography and appendices. Students will receive regular supervision and will be expected to liaise regularly with their supervisor and submit material for comment at agreed times. Supervisors will not read and comment on full drafts of the dissertation. Two copies of the dissertation must be submitted to the Graduate School office, room 1.13, 50 George Square, by the August deadline. Students must also submit an electronic copy of their dissertation via Learn.
