The overall aim of this course is to develop students' understanding that these diseases have both local and global determinants; that effective and cost-effective evidence-based strategies for the prevention and management of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) exist and that tackling NCDs requires multi-level and multi-sectoral participation and action.
