SummaryDuring Semester 1 of the third year, while studying abroad, students will submit one book review or annotated bibliography and a final historiographical essay. Both will be conducted under the supervision of a member of the School of History, Classics and Archaeology. Materials for the assignments will be available online.
Course description For students who choose the historiographical based year abroad essay (worth 20 credit points) in Semester 1. This is one of two courses that students are expected to do in their third year for History. They will help students develop the analytical skills that they have acquired in the previous two years of study.

Students who wish to take pre-approved history courses at their host university in place of this course, should contact the teaching office to enrol on the following course:
