Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Engage critically with a body of primary materials appropriate to the chosen research project;
  2. Engage critically with a range of secondary source materials, their sources and approaches, as appropriate to the research topic;
  3. Develop a methodological framework particular to this project;
  4. Apply analytical and organisational skills to design and to produce an extended research undertaking;
  5. Independently use such transferable skills as close and critical evaluation of the relevant sources, wide reading in and critical interpretation thereof, time-management, and structured, articulate, and well-presented academic writing.
