30% Independent Essay - Students will be asked to describe how simulation and workshop training can improve patient safety issues identified within your own specialty, and how potential improvements could be measured. (SCQF 11.5, 11.3)

On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Have a critical understanding of the principle theories and concepts of Training for safety, including simulation of healthcare delivery (SCQF 11.1)
  2. Be able to carry communicate to peers how training for safety has impacted their workplace (SCQF 11.4)
  3. Reflect upon their practical experience in their own workplace setting of demonstrating leadership and making an identifiable contribution to change and development and new thinking (SCQF 11.5, 11.3)
