Management of the chronically ischaemic limb, including Intervention; Selection for revascularisation or amputation; Assessment and management of patients with complications of diabetes affecting the leg/foot; Apply a constant and integrated approach to critical analysis, evaluation and synthesis of new and complex ideas, information and issues; Exercise a high level of autonomy and initiative in professional activities at a level of independent surgical practice.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Manage the chronically ischaemic limb and be able to plan intervention where necessary.
- Understand the basis of selection for re-vascularisation or amputation.
- Assess and manage patients with complications of diabetes affecting the leg/foot.
- Apply a constant and integrated approach to critical analysis, evaluation and synthesis of new and and complex ideas, information and issues.
- Exercise a high level of autonomy and initiative in professional activities at a level of independent surgical practice.
