Knowledge of methods of renal support; advantages and Disadvantages; Assessment and management of patients with acute and chronic renovascular disease and mesenteric ischaemia; Apply a constant and integrated approach to critical analysis, evaluation and synthesis of new and complex ideas, information and issues; Exercise a high level of autonomy and initiative in professional activities at a level of independent surgical practice.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Gain knowledge of vascular access and its planning.
- Develop a sound understanding of the complications and management of vascular access issues.
- Be able to assess and manage the vascular disease of renal failure.
- Be able to assess and manage patients with acute and chronic mesenteric ischaemia.
- Reach a high level of knowledge and understanding, leading towards safe independent surgical practice
