This is a postgraduate degree designed to provide research training in nursing. This programme allows you to work on research throughout the year whilst also taking taught courses that will enhance your research and knowledge. In the taught components, 40 credits are required (additional courses may be taken with consent from Programme Director or dissertation supervisor) in addition to a research project of 140 credits. The research project or dissertation should not exceed 20,000 words.
The degree is awarded based on the assessment of both taught courses and dissertation. You must attain an average mark of 50% or more for the taught component to qualify for the degree award.
Full-time students must take these compulsory courses within 1 year. This programme is also available part time over 2 to 3 years.
