Year 1 Academic year: 2024/25, Starting in: September

Notes:
Progression requirements in Year 1
In order to pass the taught component at (Semester 1 and 2 of Year 1) and be allowed to progress on to the Individual Research Project, a student must meet the following criteria (in accordance with UoE taught degree regulations).
- Attain passes at 50% or more in individual component courses totaling at least 80 credits and
- Attain an aggregate pass at 50% or more across all 120 credits of taught component courses of which a minimum of 90 are at SCQF Level 11.

In order to obtain a pass in Year 1 - the training year, be allowed to progress on to Year 2 and commence the main research project, a student must, in addition to having obtained a pass for the taught component, meet the following criterion (in accordance with UoE taught degree regulations)
- Attain a further 60 credits by passing the individual project with a mark of at least 50 %.
