DPT: Critical Care (Online Learning) (MSc) - 3 years (Part-time) (PTMSCCRITC1P)

Year 1 Academic year: 2025/26, Starting in: September

MSc - This Award is taken over 3 years. You must complete 180 credits to gain this Award.

Students wishing to exit with a Postgraduate Certificate must complete all Certificate courses within 1 year and students wishing to exit with a Postgraduate Diploma must complete all Diploma courses within 2 years. Please refer to the programme handbook for more specific progression criteria.

Year 1 has 60 credits of compulsory courses

Year 2 has 30 credits of compulsory courses and 30 credits of optional (elective) courses.

You must complete 60 credits in Year 3.

You have two options in Year 3:

- Dissertation (Critical Care) or

- 60 credits of taught courses (for example, a combination of 40 credits from the Critical Care suite of courses (20-credit SLICC), 2x10 (Critical Care Electives), and additional 20 credits (2x10 credit or 1x20 credit) CMVM Electives Courses

This Award is taken over 3 years and you have to take 180 credits.

30 credits of Year 2 are compulsory courses.

You must complete both courses listed below (30 credits) and three of optional courses (30 credits).

You must complete 60 credits in Year 2.

- 60 credits of taught courses (for example a combination of 40 credits from the Critical Care suite of courses (20-credit SLICC) and 2x10 (Critical Care Electives) and additional 20 credits (2x10 credit or 1x20 credit) CMVM Electives Courses

Course choices should be agreed upon with the Course Organisers and Year 3 Director prior to enrollment. CMVM Y3 Elective course availability will be subject to student numbers.

There are no compulsory courses in this year of this programme.

SLICC can be taken across blocks 1-4 but it MUST BE completed by Block 4

Student-Led Individually Created Course for Critical Care (SLICC)

AND

Students have to take at least 20 credits from the MSc Critical Care Taught Y3 Elective courses.

DO NOT TAKE A COURSE FROM THE BELOW SECTION IF YOU HAVE ALREADY COURSE COMPLETED IN Y2.
