NOTES: In addition to the compulsory courses listed, students of the Drug Discovery and Translational Biology programme are very strongly recommended to take one of the following courses:

- Biophysical Chemistry for MSc. Biochemistry (PGBI11107) - 10 credits
- Biochemistry A (PGBI11100) - 10 credits.

With the approval of the Programme Director, you can choose the 20 credit course, Practical Skills in Biochemistry A, as your optional course in Semester 1. This would result in an assessment load of 70 credits in Semester 1 and 50 credits in Semester 2.
