Year 1 Academic year: 2024/25, Starting in: September

Notes:
To progress to the dissertation or project stage, students must achieve at least 50% in Global Environment: Key Issues and in at least one of: Environmental Risk: Politics, Ethics, and Communication; Global Environment and Society, or Global Environmental Politics in addition to the normal University of Edinburgh requirements for taught MSc progression.

Course choices should be confirmed with your Programme Director or Personal Tutor.
Not all electives may run in a given year and places may be limited.

Select between 0 and 40 credits of the following courses
Notes:
At least one of these courses must be taken in either Year 1 or Year 2

Please note: to enrol in Global Environment and Society you must have a Social Science Undergraduate Degree
AND

Additional Electives - Global Environment, Politics and Society

Select between 0 and 40 credits of the following courses
Notes:
Students may take up to 80 credits of these courses across the 2 year programme.
AND

Level 11 courses in Schedules A to Q, T and W

Select between 0 and 40 credits from Level 11 courses in Schedules A to Q, T and W
Notes:
Courses in this collection can only be taken with permission of the Programme Director, but students are always encouraged to discuss their interests for their plan of study with the Programme Director.

Students may take up to 60 credits of these courses across the 2 year programme.

Year 2 Academic year: 2024/25, Starting in: September

Notes:
